Live in victory, not defeat

Whether you realize it or not, you’re under spiritual attack and in an all-out spiritual war. And Satan does all he can to cause you spiritual defeat. He bombards your thoughts, your desires; and your emotions in almost imperceptible ways, and he tries to trick you or seduce you into believing his lies. And too frequently we are lured, enticed, or dragged away from Christ through Satan’s deceptions.

The good news for us as believers in Christ is that He has won the victory! And I want to assure you, as long as you have given your life to Christ, you have nothing to fear. Jesus Christ has overcome the world. You indeed are secure in Him!

But this can create a complacency that is so dangerous. Here’s why:
Satan will do all in his power to pull you away from walking in Christ and His victory. This battle is very real… and it is the reason why so many Christians today live in defeat and lack the joy God intends for them. 

Now, some people get so worried about the devil that they see demons behind every bush. Yes, as believers we do have a very real enemy and we are under attack. But don’t get caught up in blaming Satan for everything that’s wrong in your life.

The key to spiritual victory begins with what the Bible tells us in James 4:7,

Too often when we find ourselves battling Satan, we simply fail to resist him. He’s always looking for the perfect opportunity to tempt you and me with something attractive and something seemingly irresistible. But he only wins when we play his game!

God’s given us the game plan we need to win: Submit to Him… and resist the devil. Make it a daily habit, and you’ll live in all the joy and victory God intends for you.
