Culture Shock

We live in a culture where it is becoming more difficult to distinguish Christians from non-Christians. How should we, as Christians in the church, respond to our cultural chaos? First, we need to sell out to Jesus Christ and live our lives powered by His Spirit, with humility and grace. We do that through our individual worship – spending time daily in scripture and in prayer – and through our corporate worship weekly with God’s family at church. Next, we do that same thing within our families, systematically worshipping together daily and every weekend with other believers. Finally, we become lovers. That’s right, we become lovers of God and one another.

Love is the distinguishing mark of a Christian. I guarantee you, if we worship and love as God prescribes, our lifestyles and attitudes will noticeably standout, and we can make a difference that will shock the culture!
