Lifelong pursuit

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. - 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16
Jesus doesn’t disappear when the nativity is re-boxed. Once He is born in a human heart, He launches that person on a lifelong pursuit.
The total health of your spiritual heart won’t be attained until your physical heart stops beating. So there’s a continual pressing on to grab hold of all the good things Christ had in mind for you when He laid hold of you, as Paul put it in PHILIPPIANS 3:12.
For the Christian, death is the portal into life’s fullness. Life to that point is a process of adventurous growth. In the meantime, see both spiritual and physical heart health not as a fad, but as a lifelong pursuit to lay hold of everything for which you were laid hold.
