Turn Back the Clock
"But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons."Galatians 4:4
People say you can’t turn back the clock. The truth is we can, and we do, whenever the clock is on the wrong time. In 1956, Billy Graham held a crusade in London that resulted in thousands of people coming to Christ. The London Times, seeking to counteract the tremendous response and success of the revival, published this headline: "Billy Graham Has Sent England Back to the 1800s." When asked what he thought of the headline, Graham responded, “Well, I guess I failed. I wanted to send England back to the First Century!”
No matter how advanced we have become, we all need to go back to the fullness of time of the First Century – the birth, the death, and the resurrection of the Jesus Christ. So let’s make sure our clocks are set to God’s fullness of time and that every day we spend some our time in the First Century.
