Walking on Tiptoe

How many of us truly “guard our steps” when we go into God’s house? When you enter a worship service, do you pause to offer a little prayer, “Lord, speak to me today?” I have discovered that when we do that, it is amazing how God will speak to us. We need to come into God’s house, into His presence, with a sense of anticipation that He is going to do something in our lives. Or perhaps that He will change something or convict us of something so we will move in a different direction.

We know how children will stand “on tiptoe” with anticipation when they go to a birthday party or wait for Christmas. I think God wants us to do the same when we come to church. We come with what I call “tip-toe” anticipation. When we do that, God will speak to us every time.
